The weights of the seafood shown on YSSeafood.my are gross weights (before cleaning, descaling and removal of internal organs). After descaling & gutting the seafood, the weight of seafood will reduce around 15%-30%
- Wild-caught seafood / vacuum-packed and refrigerate / Descaled & gutted / All 1kg & above fishes will be sliced
If you want your seafood to be packaged or handled in a certain way, please note down your request in the “Remark” column before making payment. We will try our best to fulfill your requests.

马友鱼 (Threadfin / Ikan Senangin)
马友鱼是多脂肪的名贵鱼类,油多刺少,肉质细致且分层,就像千层糕一样层叠起来,吃起来口感独特;腌制之后便会一层层分开,所以也常用来制成咸鱼。马友鱼富含蛋白质、不饱和脂肪酸、DHA、牛磺酸和人体所需的微量元素,具降低胆固醇和预防心血管疾病,更可促进婴儿大脑细胞发育,护眼明目,易于烹调,它是盐烤、清蒸好食材。

Threadfin is a premium fish with high fat contents and very few bones. Its delicate flesh is divided into distinct layers reminiscent of that of kuih lapis, and it has a tremendously unique texture. As the layers would come apart if the fish is pickled, it is often used to make salted fish. Threadfin is rich in protein, unsaturated fats, DHA, taurine and various trace minerals that are essential to our bodies. Aside from lowering cholesterol levels and preventing cardiovascular diseases, threadfin also promotes the growth of brain cells in babies and improves our eyesight. Season it with salt and grill it, or steam it with some soy sauce, and you are in for a treat!
